This page is about "our" daycare. We cater to children ages six weeks to 6 years old, as well as afterschool age children. We offer a program for both toddlers and preschoolers and not to mention our little ones from 6 weeks to a year.
We at Rascona's Rascals Daycare I and II, Inc. recognize that children learn best by doing. In our new program, the activities are designed to help your child grow emotionally, socially, intellectually, and physically; and to build a strong sense of their own individuality and self esteem.
The program will also prepare your child for a good beginning in school.
We offer a wonderfully nutritious food program which includes Breakfast, AM snack, Lunch, and PM snack.
We offer a pre school curriculum. Our program is developed around 2 or 3 themes each month. Each month's program includes a variety of activities, such as those listed in the following areas:
language activities
large muscle activities
number recognition
activities which develop listening skills
science experiences
matching, sorting, and sequencing
creative play
self help activities
creative art activities
craft activities
music and rhythm activities
How are parents involved in the program?
You'll receive a parent letter at the beginning of each month, to inform you of the suggested activities for that month. You'll also receive notes periodically during the month. These will tell you about activities which may be planned, such as color days when the children will need to wear clothing of a specific color or bring something that has that color.
Even though our little ones are not able physically participate, they enjoy watching the older children and learn from the movements and songs. They have their own little room to relax, swing, nap and play.
